Tivoli Gardens resident Marjorie Hinds this afternoon told the West Kingston Commission of Enquiry that she was left helpless for months after she was seriously injured by an explosion during the Tivoli incursion of May 2010.

Hinds said she was out looking for her common-law husband who had gone to help a neighbour with a door, when she was thrown to the ground.

She also described waking up at the Kingston Public Hospital unable to move:

Hinds is to continue giving evidence tomorrow.

The West Kingston Commission of Enquiry is probing the circumstances that led to the deaths of more than 70 people when members of the security forces went into Tivoli Gardens to execute an arrest warrant on then wanted man Christopher 'Dudus' Coke.
