Constituency debate to continue in Parliament

Published:Tuesday | September 8, 2015 | 12:00 AM

Parliamentarians will continue their contribution to the state of Jamaica's constituencies when the Lower House meets this afternoon.

The House is scheduled to meet at two o'clock.

Government MPs Dr Dayton Campbell and Anthony Hylton and Opposition MPs Dr Kenneth Baughand  Pearnel Charles are expected to make presentations.

The State of Constituency debate started in the House last week.

It is expected to run until next week by which 48 parliamentarians are expected to have contributed to the  debate.

The State of the Constituency Debate is a new feature of the parliament that was introduced to widen participation of MPs while shortening Sectoral Debate presentations.
