Petrojam technical workers back on the job today
Technical staff at Petrojam Limited are to return to the job this morning.
The workers, who are represented by the Petroleum Workers Association, have been off the job since Monday afternoon.
They're reportedly upset because of what they call hazardous working conditions.
The workers have also reportedly expressed concerns about some of the practices of management.
Representatives from Petrojam Limited, the Petroleum Workers Association and the Ministry of Finance and Planning met yesterday at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in Kingston to discuss the issues.
The parties agreed that normal operations will resume this morning at 7:30.
Talks will continue to address outstanding issues.
Yesterday Petrojam said measures had been in place to ensure the refinery remained operational during the strike action.
