October salary delays frustrating teachers
President of the Jamaica Teachers' Association Norman Allen says teachers are not prepared to wait any longer for the payment of this month’s salary.
Some teachers have been waiting since last week Thursday for their October salary.
Allen says teachers are frustrated at the delays by the Ministry of Education.
According to him, some teachers have been finding it difficult to cope because of the delayed payment.
The education ministry has admitted to facing challenges in making the payments and has assured that the monies will be paid today.
