Detectives have given Manchester residents Vincent Coleman and Marshall Small until midday today to report the Mandeville Police Station as part of a probe into the contract killing Mr Coleman's 62-year-old wife, Norma.

Mrs Coleman was shot dead on Confidence Avenue in Mandeville last week Friday.

Already, two policemen and two other people implicated in the murder have been arrested.

The police say preliminary investigations indicate that Mrs. Coleman’s murder involves a person or persons closely associated with her.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Criminal Investigative Branch, Assistant Commissioner Ealan Powell, is reporting a worrying increase in family members are hiring criminals to kill their relatives.

He did not cite figures, but ACP Powell is seeking to assure that resources will be allocated to solve these crimes speedily.
