PNP goes hi-tech

In an attempt to showcase its enthusiasm for modern technology, on Sunday evening, the People’s National Party (PNP) unveiled a pioneering new gadget at a rally in Annotto Bay, St Mary.
In between a well-received speech by Member of Parliament (MP) Damion Crawford and a lengthy address by local MP Dr Winston Green, the event’s host explained the tiny aircraft that had been flying above the crowd throughout the proceedings was an unmanned aerial vehicle, also known as a drone.
According to the host, the drone, which is designed to keep the PNP in touch with the electorate, took pictures of the crowd and event, and uploaded them in real time on to the party’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
