Tufton warns South West labourites to remain united
Former Jamaica Labour Party Member of Parliament, Dr Christopher Tufton, has cautioned supporters in South West St Elizabeth not to create any internal problems, that may affect the party's chances of winning the seat from the People's National Party (PNP).
Hugh Buchanan defeated Dr Tufton to win the seat for the PNP in 2011.
Speaking at a constituency meeting last night, the former MP warned dozens of Labourites that they must ensure they remain united to secure victory at the next polls.
According to him, the supporters should focus on reminding constituents of developments that took place during the JLP's term.
He says the JLP should not take it for granted that people will remember what was done.
Former president of the JLP's young professional arm Generation 2000 and attorney-at-law Floyd Green is representing the party in the constituency.
