Jamaican woman escapes injuries in Paris terrorist attacks
A Jamaican woman is among the hundreds of persons who escaped injuries in last night’s deadly terrorist attacks in Paris.
Business executive Marsha Smikle says the attacks, which claimed 128 lives, began minutes after she had dinner with a group of friends a short distance away.
Smikle, who is the managing director of Delivery Solutions Limited, is in the French capital for a conference.
She calls the attacks sad and heartbreaking and says it has left everyone on edge.
Meanwhile, the business executive says she is now making plans to cut her trip short and leave the French capital by tomorrow.
Smikle said she was scheduled to leave for Germany for the second leg of the conference, but has decided to cancel those plans.
