New Political Ombudsman to be sworn in today

Former Custos of St Andrew Donna Parchment-Brown is to be sworn in today as the new Political Ombudsman.
Governor General Sir Patrick Allen announced the appointment on Friday.
The swearing in will take place at 11 o'clock this morning at King's House in St Andrew.
Parchment-Brown was appointed Custos of St Andrew in January, but relinquished the position to accommodate her new appointment.
She is a dispute resolution specialist and was called to the Bar more than 33 years ago.
The Political Ombudsman has responsibility to oversee and investigate adherence to Jamaica's Code of Political Conduct.
The appointment comes as speculations increase about an early general election.
Parchment-Brown succeeds Bishop Herro Blair who resigned in 2013.
