I'm heartbroken ... Holness dismayed by death of 6-year-old boy
Opposition Leader Andrew Holness has expressed shock and dismay at the death of little Daniel Anderson and has condemned the heinous nature of the crime.
The mutilated body of the six-year-old boy who was reported missing on Sunday was found in a gully in Mount Edgecombe district, St Ann yesterday.
"I am heartbroken, just the other day it was a one-year-old baby who was shot and killed alongside his father, today it is a six-year-old child whose body was mutilated. We must stand up and put an end to this!" he said.
According to the Opposition Leader, the high incidence of violence against innocent children is unacceptable.
In extending condolences to Daniel's family, Holness said Jamaicans must make it their responsibility to keep children out of harm's way.
"It cannot be said too many times, our children are out future, we must not destroy our future,".
He wants the police to be relentless apprehending criminals who prey on innocent children.
