The police have requested assistance from the forensic laboratory as the search continues for four persons who have been missing since fire destroyed a house in the Arthurs Mount area of Lime Hall, St Ann, on Saturday.

The four are 57-year-old Joseph Lynch, his nephew 43 year old Lascelles Lynch, 50-year-old Ruth Lawrence, and her niece, seven-year-old Rimeka Haynes.

A source says Lawrence lives in Brown’s Town and took her niece with her to visit Joseph Lynch, with whom she had a relationship.

Head of the St Ann police, Superintendent Wayne Cameron, says the police are expecting the forensics team by tomorrow to help with the search.

The police say they suspect the fire was deliberately set, but are awaiting a report from the fire department.

Cameron says it could take up to a week to completely search the 60-acre property on which the two-storey house is located.
