Sales rep charged for allegedly stealing from boss
A 41-year-old industrial sales representative has been arrested and charged with larceny as a servant.
The police have identified him as Kenrick Williams of a National Heroes' Circle address in Kingston.
According to the police, Williams allegedly prepared several order and delivery forms amounting to over J$3 million for lubricants that were supposedly for delivery to several customers in May.
However, when an official of the company contacted the customers for payments, it was discovered that goods were never delivered and they denied ordering or receiving the products.
On November 4, the managing director of the company reported the matter to the Fraud Squad and an investigation was launched. Williams was arrested and charged yesterday.
He will appear in court on December 2.
