Head of the St Ann Police, Superintendent Wayne Cameron, says the police have taken six persons into custody in connection with the disappearance of four members of a family.

Superintendent Cameron says investigators are seeking a seventh person.

He says those in custody were accosted last week.

Superintendent Cameron says investigators started interviewing the detainees on Friday and the process is continuing.

Meanwhile, the head of the St Ann police says investigators last week used dogs to search the 60-acre property where the family was staying.

He says no clues were uncovered.

Superintendent Cameron says the police are still treating the matter as a missing persons case.

The four family members have been missing since a fire destroyed their house in Lime Hall in the parish on Saturday, November 14.

The police had reported that no remains were found inside the house.
