Health Minister Horace Dalley says workers and users of the Princess Margaret Hospital in St Thomas are to experience improved conditions as a result of the renovation and expansion of the institution’s Accident and Emergency Department.
Dalley was speaking at a contract signing for the project yesterday.
The contract is valued at more than $143 million.
The scope of work of the project includes roof construction, electrical installation, door and window installation, and the putting in of fire safety and lightning protection mechanisms.
The project is expected to be completed in about 12 months.
