Police Commish calls for more solutions-makers

Commissioner of Police, Dr Carl Williams who was the guest speaker at yesterday’s 10th anniversary graduation ceremony at International University of the Caribbean, urged graduates to utilise their education to improve the state of the Jamaican society.

Commissioner of Police, Dr Carl Williams has urged graduates of the International University of the Caribbean (IUC) to be solution providers.

Williams, who was the guest speaker at yesterday’s 10th anniversary graduation ceremony at IUC, urged graduates to utilise their education to improve the state of the Jamaican society.

He told graduates to be innovative and enterprising to meet the challenges of the times.

Williams highlighted the numerous challenges facing the country and challenged graduates to devise new ways of thinking about these problems.

He urged the graduates to create solutions to the problems affecting security, healthcare, education and human rights in particular. 

Williams also told them to make use of professional opportunities and not be defined by their particular area of study.
