Clean-up activities are continuing at the Morant Bay Courthouse in St Thomas after the building was flooded during heavy weekend rains.

Deputy Superintendent Denzel Roper of the St Thomas Fire Department says fire personnel have so far cleared two of the three rooms at the courthouse.

Roper says more work is needed to clean out the third room which houses the court’s records office.

The flooding of the Morant Bay Courthouse has affected sittings of the court.

It is not clear when normal operations at the courthouse will resume.
