Worker rescued, rushed to hospital after building collapses at Royalton construction site

WESTERN BUREAU:
Fire and emergency medical personnel were called into action this morning to rescue a construction worker who was trapped in the rubble following the collapse of a section of a building at the Royalton hotel construction site in Negril, Hanover.
After about half-an-hour of feverish attempts by rescuers, the construction worker was eventually freed and rushed to hospital.
It's reported that about 6 o'clock his morning a section of the hotel's decking collapsed.
According to watch commander at the Hanover Fire Department, Choy Malcolm, four other persons were taken to the Savanna-la-Mar hospital.
Malcolm said emergency personnel from the Negril, Lucea and Savanna-la-Mar fire stations and Emergency Medical units rushed to the site.
