Disruption in water supply for sections of Corporate Area

The National Water Commission (NWC) says residents served by the Mona Water Supply Treatment Plant in St Andrew should brace for water lock-offs or low water pressure as a result of a broken main in Beverly Hills that has caused the NWC to shutdown the Mona Treatment Facility.

Communities that will be affected include:

Mona, Cross Roads, Mountain View, Old Hope Road and Hope Road; Waterloo Road, Cassia Park, Eastwood Park, Red Hills Road, Grants Pen, Half-Way Tree Road, Upper Maxfield Avenue, Zaidie Gardens, Dunrobin Avenue, New Kingston, Liguanea, Long Mountain Country Club, sections of downtown Kingston, Harbour View, Shooters Hill, sections of Eleven Miles, the Norman Manley International Airport, Port Royal, and Constant Spring Road.

The NWC says repair works are in progress and normal water supply is expected to be restored the shortest possible time.
