The United States men's and women's basketball teams will stay aboard a luxury cruise ship for the duration of the Olympics in Brazil.
Players from both basketball teams arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday.
The men's team was taken to the Port of Rio, where the players boarded a cruise ship, Silver Cloud, their home for the duration of the Games.
The US men's basketball team is made up of 12 highly compensated NBA stars.
Meanwhile, Olympic organisers have been dealing with complaints of incomplete or malfunctioning facilities in the dormitory-style apartments set up to house the more than 10,000 athletes at the games.
