Telecommunications firm FLOW will be focusing national attention on a crucial issue in our society in its observance of Safer Internet Day, which is marked globally and will be commemorated tomorrow under the theme 'Be the Change: Unite for a Better Internet'. Through its foundation, the company will once again be leading activities aimed at encouraging safer Internet practices among Jamaican youth.

"As the leading telecommunications firm on the island, we are always willing to lead and participate in activities that educate the public about safe practices while interacting with our services." shared Errol Miller, executive chairman of the FLOW Foundation.

Miller shared that the company will be dedicating a portion of the day's activities to tackle issues of human trafficking, sexual grooming and other illegal actions affecting minors linked to online activities.

"We will be spending the day at the Mona High School in Kingston, where students from both Mona and other schools in the community will be engaged in discussions with influential persons and FLOW executives about the topic," Miller further highlighted.

The FLOW Foundation currently leads a programme which provides free Internet access to over 400 primary schools across the island and has also built a number of community cybercentres.
