The police are reporting that they have recaptured another man who escaped from the Denham Town Police lock-up last year.

They say 34-year-old Donovan Allen was held in Negril, Westmoreland, last night by a police team that was on patrol in the area.

Allen, otherwise called ‘Bitter’, from Spanish Town, St Catherine, was in custody after being charged for robbery with aggravation.

His recapture comes just over a week after the police accosted another escapee in Portland.

Allen and Ballentine were among nine criminals who broke out of the Denham Town Police lock up last year September.

Six of them have been recaptured and one killed.

The remaining two, Theodore Lawrence and  Kevin Thomas, are still at large.

At the time of the jailbreak, Lawrence, 23, otherwise called Theo, of Baugh Path, Tivoli Gardens, Kingston 14 was charged for murder and 26-year-old Thomas, otherwise called Tatan, of McKenzie drive, also in Tivoli Gardens, was charged for wounding with intent and shooting with intent.
