Man importing BMW found guilty of breaching customs rules
A man who was found guilty of breaching customs rules in relation to the importation of a BMW motorcar is to be sentenced on April 11.
Brenton Henry was found guilty of Breaches of the Customs Act on March 23.
The Revenue Protection Department says the conviction brought to an end a long running court battle between Henry and the department.
In the meantime, the RPD scored another victory in court on March 23, when another defendant pleaded guilty to Uttering Forged Documents.
He is to be sentenced on March 30.
The RPD says this is the second conviction for the offence.
It says on September 2, 2016, Samuels, and his then co-defendant Delroy Matherson, pleaded guilty to the offences of Uttering Forged Documents and Conspiracy to Defraud.
They were both sentenced to custodial sentences of eighteen months.
