Man shot dead at St Thomas primary school, classes suspended

Classes at Grants Pen Primary and Infant School in Albion, St Thomas have been suspended following a fatal shooting just outside the compound.

Thirty-three-year-old Carl Armstrong otherwise called Renard of a Llandewy address in the parish was shot shortly after dropping off students at the school.

The incident happened about 8 o’clock this morning.

It’s reported that while sitting in his car another vehicle drove up and opened fire.

Armstrong was shot several times in the face and neck.

The attackers then drove off.

The incident resulted in panic at the school.

It also drew a large crowd of neighbours and passersby.

The police were called and have since been processing the scene.
