JDF solider arrested in relation to father's murder

The Manchester Police have arrested a Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) Private in relation to the murder of his father in St Andrew.

Commanding Officer for the Manchester Police Superintendent Wayne Cameron says the private was arrested in the community of Battersea about 1:30 this morning.

It is believed that he fled to the community after his father's murder.

Cameron says the solider will be handed over to the St Andrew Central Police who are investigating the matter.

The JDF solider is believed to have chopped his father to death two nights ago in Papine, St Andrew.
