Fire blazes at Westwood High School

The fire impacting a section of Westwood High School in Trelawny tonight.

Firefighters from Falmouth, Brown's Town and St. Ann Bay spent some time last night battling a major fire at the Westwood High School in Stewart Town, Trelawny.

According to Deputy Superintendent Roland Booth, of the Trelawny Fire Brigade, the blaze was confined to the kitchen section of the school, which offers boarding arrangement to the students.

There were no reports of injuries and the firefighters believe they had brought the situation under control, soon after arriving.
