Education Minister saddened by deCarteret College principal's death

Education Minister, Ruel Reid, is expressing sadness at the death of principal of deCarteret College in Manchester, Millard McLeod.

McLeod died on Sunday evening.

In a statement, Reid said McLeod had served the school with distinction for the past 21 years and said he had made a significant impact on the school and the wider Manchester community.

He added that McLeod’s passionate insistence on high standards had seen the school continuing to be one of the finest examples of academic excellence in Jamaica.

The education minister pledged the Ministry’s continued support to Acting Principal Angela Walker, the staff and students during this time of mourning.
