Cannabis Licensing Authority approves two ganja licences
The Cannabis Licensing Authority has approved two licenses for investors engaging in the ganja business.
Agriculture and Commerce Minister Karl Samuda says that the approval was granted for a tier one processor license and a tier one cultivator license.
He said as at May the Authority received a total of 212 applications from 86 applicants for licences.
But Samuda said two of the applications have since been withdrawn while the others are being processed.
Samuda, who was making his contribution to the Sectoral Debate, said 26 Conditional Approval letters have been issued and 70 applications are either awaiting documentation or payment of required fees from the applicant.
