The Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (JPS) says less than one per cent of its customers are still without electricity in the aftermath of heavy rains that damaged power lines.

The JPS says the majority of the approximately 3,834 customers who are still without power are in northern Clarendon where its crews are having problems with access.

It says a small number of customers in the Red Hills area of St Andrew and Mount Rosser in St Catherine are also still without power.

The JPS says its crews are in these areas working assiduously to restore electricity.
