2 Manchester men await charges after allegedly attempting to board flight with ganja

Two Manchester men are to be slapped with a number of charges after they were allegedly found with drugs while attempting to board a flight to Barbados yesterday.

Reports are that about 3:30 p.m., the two men, who were travelling together, checked in at the Norman Manley International Airport for a flight destined for Barbados.

During security checks, their bags were searched and 11 packages of compressed ganja weighing 4.2 kilograms were found in hidden compartments. 

They are expected to be charged with Possession of Ganja, Dealing in Ganja, Attempting to Export Ganja and Conspiracy to Export Ganja.

The two remain in custody and will be interviewed in the presence of their attorneys. Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
