National Security Minister, Robert Montague, says there will be serious repercussions for those who attack the police.

He says the police have received a shooting simulator from the United States government and that it will be used to sharpen the shooting skills of cops.

Montague was speaking at the funeral of Constable Leighton Hanson today at the Portmore Seventh-day Adventist Church in St Catherine.

Hanson was killed by a lone man who disarmed and shot him in the head as he responded to reports of a robbery on Constant Spring Road in St Andrew last month.

The attacker was later killed by a Jamaica Defence Force soldier.

Constable Hanson is survived by a wife and two children, as well as his parents.
