Residents of Mount Salem, St James, have mounted roadblocks for a second day as they protest what they say was the cold blooded killing of a man from the community by the police yesterday.

The man has been identified as Rupert Johnson.

The aunt of the deceased man, Winsome Brown, said the police arrived at their home yesterday morning and began shooting without explanation.

Yesterday, the residents blocked the intersection of the Mount Salem main road and Crawford Street with various items, which they also set on fire.

Today they again lit barricades along the roadway and held placards calling for justice.
