High-speed stolen vehicle chase, two men shot dead

A high-speed chase involving a security response team tracking a stolen car ended with two men being shot dead last night in Ocho Rios, St Ann.

The dead men are yet to be identified and a third man who was reportedly also travelling in the stolen vehicle is yet to be found.

Reports are that a security response team tracking a stolen Toyota Probox from Kingston intercepted the motor car in the vicinity of Fern Gully about 10 o'clock last night.

The car crashed into an embankment and three men reportedly alighted from the vehicle and fired shots at the security response team.

The fire was returned and two of the three men were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were taken to the St Ann's Bay Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

A police team from the Ocho Rios and Moneague police stations visited the scene where they conducted a search for the third man and weapons.

No weapon was found and the third man is yet to be located.
