A St Thomas man was this morning shot and killed while at his home in Seaforth in the parish.

He has been identified as 27-year-old O' Brian Cruickshank, who served as Captain of the Seaforth Football Club.

It's reported that about 12:30 this morning the door to Cruickshank's home was kicked off by men who allegedly shot him seven times before fleeing the scene.

He was rushed to hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

This brings to 10 the number of murders in the parish since the start of the year.

That's one more murder when compared to the similar period last year.
