The two persons killed last night have been identified as 18-year-old Gary Chaplin and 21-year-old Oscar Williams, in the community of Moneymusk.

Reports are that both men were walking along Shrimp Way in the Moneymusk Housing Scheme when a grey motorcar with several men aboard approached and opened fire on them.

It’s reported that both men received gunshot wounds and attempted to escape, but Williams later collapsed and died while Chaplin succumb to his injuries at the Lionel Town Hospital.

At the start of this month, the Clarendon Police reported that 51 murders were reported across the parish since the start of the year, 10 less than was recorded for the corresponding period last year.
