Four members of one family were last night killed in Mount Pleasant, Hanover, as criminals continue to wreak havoc in the rural community.

The identities of last night's victims are not yet known but initial reports say they are all related.

It's believed the killers invaded the home of the victims and slaughtered them gangland-style.

The crime-plagued community has also had a triple murder and a double murder since the start of the year.

Commanding officer for the Hanover Police Division, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sharon Beeput, confirmed the killings.

She told The Gleaner that police investigators are now at the location.

Last night’s killings lift the parish’s murder count to 36 since the start of the year.
