Fire destroys Hanover's largest supermarket

A huge fire this morning left extensive damage to the East Sun Supermarket and Haberdashery in Lucea, Hanover. 

The fire began about 3 a.m. and took several hours to be extinguished.  

East Sun is the largest supermarket in Lucea.

No one was injured in the incident and fire officials could not immediately say what caused the blaze.

Two units, one from Lucea and the other from Montego Bay, extinguished the fire.   

The incident forced the diversion of traffic from Main Street, Lucea on to Willie DeLisser Boulevard.
