The operator of the Sangster International Airport in St James, MBJ Airports Limited, is reporting that three firefighters were injured in a crash at the airport last night.
The company says about 11:30 two airport fire trucks were engaged in a routine training exercise when they crashed.
It says the injured firefighters were taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
MBJ says the crash resulted in the temporary closure of the runway.
The company says one firefighter has since been released and the runway has been reopened and normal operations restored.
