The labour ministry says the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union has withdrawn its strike notice served on the Urban Development Corporation (UDC).

This followed a meeting at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, between both parties this morning at the Ministry's North Street Office.

The parties will meet again on August 25, 2017 at the Ministry to continue discussions on the 2015-2017 wages negotiations.

The union had said workers are upset over the wage negotiations.

However, there has been no detail on the contentious issues.
