Nutramix celebrates winning women in agriculture
Women have always been an important, but perhaps under-represented, force in the agricultural industry. However, in recent years, women have been rising to the forefront of agriculture in many ways as owners and operators of agri-businesses, landowners, workers, mentors, and much more.
Nutramix recently hosted a Winning Women in Agriculture Roundtable as part of the 2017 National Farm Queen competition. The Winning Women in Agriculture Roundtable brought together women from all walks of life who share a love for agriculture and a desire to collaboratively bring light to how their lifestyles are impacting the world around them.
The 2017 Nutramix Farm Queens heard from empowering and educational leaders in the industry. Among these notable women were Tina Hamilton, brand manager, CB Foods and Nutramix; Jade Lee, farmer and philanthropist; and Deleen Powell, public relations officer at the National Environment and Planning Agency and pig farmer.
The women were introduced to skills needed to be successful in the industry and received the encouragement and inspiration needed to grow as young women in the agriculture industry.
