Published:Tuesday | August 22, 2017 | 12:00 AM
More than 150 youth recently retreated at Chukka Cove Good Hope Estate, Trelawny, for a day of motivation and fun at the first staging of the NCB Foundation’s Youth Empowerment Summit (YES). The primary objectives of YES were to expose the attendees to alternative career choices and to reinforce the idea that irrespective of their background, they can overcome challenges and excel with the right mindset. The youngsters were placed in six groups – Dream Big, No Fear, No Limit, Achieve Greatness, Game Changer and Embrace Change, where they would compete in team challenges, including an obstacle course challenge, tug-of-war and mental challenge, aimed at building team spirit and encouraging resilience.
