Fisherman escapes torched house in Clarendon

A fisherman is now homeless after his house was set ablaze by a group of attackers early this morning.
Reports are that shortly after midnight the fisherman was sleeping in his house in Savanna, Hayes in Clarendon when he was awoken by strange sounds from outside.
Upon investigating, he noticed men throwing lit bottle torches on the house.
He managed to escape before the fire spread and engulfed the house which was destroyed.
Clarendon has been a hot bed of criminal activities in recent days with three more persons murdered in the parish on Monday night.
