The police have charged a 21-year-old man for the murder of fashion designer Dexter Pottinger.

He has been identified as Romario Brown, otherwise called Travis, of Rocky Valley in Stony Hill, St Andrew.

On Saturday, the police confirmed that a suspect had been taken into custody in relation to the murder of the 34-year-old designer.

They said the suspect was picked up on Friday, less than 24 hours after Pottinger's body was found with multiple wounds at his Yarico Place, Kingston 20, house.

Pottinger’s decomposing body was discovered when a relative went to visit him after becoming concerned about being unable to make contact with him for several days.‎

It is alleged that some neighbours heard cries for help about 4:30 Wednesday morning, but that has not been confirmed by the police.
