For the last three years, the NCB Foundation (NCBF) has partnered with the Susan Simes Foundation by way of financial donations to the programme. Due to encouraging feedback from parents and schools alike, the NCBF continues to support the back-to-school programme, this year increasing its support to $475,000. This initiative, which began 11 years ago, provides needed assistance for children from low-income families in volatile communities islandwide. Since inception, the programme has supported more than 450 students, ages 3-16 years, through the provision of welfare support, book donations, bus fares and other scholastic aid.
