Food For The Poor donates 30 blood pressure machines to health ministry
Food For The Poor Jamaica recently donated 30 blood-pressure machines to the Ministry of Health.
Executive director of Food For The Poor, David Mair, was pleased to present the machines to Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton. "We know these blood pressure machines will be put to good use," Mair said.
"From the Ministry of Health's perspective, we are very appreciative of this gift of 30 blood-pressure machines. Many health centres and clinics around the country use this type of equipment every single day on hundreds of thousands of Jamaicans," Tufton said in expressing his gratitude.
He noted that the blood-pressure machine is one of the most valuable pieces of equipment for the health centres as it facilitates one of the basic routine checks always needed.
Through this donation, Food For The Poor hopes to continue strengthening its ties with the Ministry of Health.
