Christopher Binnie (SQUASH):

Jamaican squash star, Chris Binnie created history when he claimed the silver medal in the men's singles at the 2018 Pan American Squash Championships in the Cayman Islands. In the process, he became the first Jamaican to make the finals at the prestigious tournament. Binnie then led the Jamaican men's team to an eight place finish in the tournament, thereby gaining qualification to the 2019 Pan American Games. The 8-time Caribbean champion also earned a bronze medal at the CAC Games in Colombia and reached the round of 16 at the Commonwealth Games, defeating the then world number 13 ranked and number three seed in the tournament.

Danniel Thomas-Dodd (ATHLETICS):

Danniel Thomas-Dodd had her best year to date in 2018. She threw 19.36 metres to take the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Australia and was also the second best indoor shot putter with a throw of 19.22 metres made in Birmingham at the IAAF World Indoor Championships to earn the silver medal. The Jamaican champion also made the Diamond League final
