The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) lieutenant who stabbed his attorney wife to death in their West Kirkland Heights, St Andrew home in December, is set to have his third court appearance next month.

Kyodia Burnett was charged with the murder of his wife two weeks after admitting to police investigators that voices in head told him to kill his 34-year-old wife, Nordraka Williams-Burnett.

His case is scheduled for the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on March 27, at which time it is expected that a forensic psychiatric report will be submitted. He last appeared in court on Tuesday.

The lieutenant, who was said to be schizophrenic, underwent additional treatment prescribed by Ministry of Health personnel after the murder of his wife.

She was found with multiple stab wounds on the morning of December 13 after a neighbour summoned the police upon hearing loud screams coming from the apartment in which the couple lived with their children.
