The police say they have now arrested Alicia England, the woman accused of posing as a medical doctor and fleecing unsuspecting people of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

England has been charged by the police with several offences including forgery, uttering forged documents, obtaining money by false pretence and breaches of the Medical Act.

She is scheduled to appear in the St James Parish Court on Friday, March 22.

The police say a date is being finalised for her to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.

In the meantime, investigators are appealing for other persons who may have been a victim of the woman’s scam to contact them.

Persons in western Jamaica may contact the Area One Fraud Squad at 876-952-0552, while other persons may contact the Kingston office at 876-922-2374 or 876-948-5953.
