Water disruptions in sections of Hanover, Westmoreland

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that because of mechanical problems at the Great River facility some customers in Hanover may be experiencing low water pressure, intermittent water supply or periods of no water.

The NWC says its maintenance team is working assiduously to resolve the challenges by Sunday, March 18, 2019.

Areas affected include Kew, Elgin Town, Johnson Town, Lucea, Brisette, Hoist, Malcolm Heights, Cacoon, Dias, First Hill, Montpelier, Bamboo, Mcquarrie, Woodland and Blenhiem and surrounding areas.

At the same time, the NWC is reporting that operations at the Bluefields relift in Westmoreland have been suspended due to electrical problems.

Affected areas include Brighton, Auldayr, Retirement and surrounding areas.
