Woman stabbed to death downtown

A St Andrew man has been arrested and charged with murder for allegedly stabbing a woman to death in downtown Kingston yesterday.

He is Grey Roy, 38, a labourer of Eleven Miles, in St Thomas.

The slain woman has been identified as Shawna Eddie, 32, who resided at Norman Lane, in St Andrew.

The Denham Town Police report that Roy and Eddie had an altercation along Orange Street.

It’s alleged that he used a knife to stab her.

Eddie later died at hospital.

Roy’s court date has not yet been confirmed, the police say.
