Holness off to CARICOM meeting in St Lucia
Prime Minister Andrew Holness left Jamaica on Tuesday afternoon to attend the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) heads of government meeting in St Lucia.
The meeting will run from July 3 to 5.
Jamaica House says the CARICOM Heads are expected to discuss several issues including regional security, Venezuela, blacklisting and the Small Island Developing States Resilience Foundation.
The Caribbean appears spilt on some matters related to Venezuela, which has been gripped by political turmoil.
Holness is supported by Foreign Affairs Minister Senator Kamina Johnson-Smith, representatives from her office as well as press secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister Naomi Francis.
National Security Minister Dr Horace Chang is in charge of the Government until Holness returns on Saturday.
